The Season Passive 2 Interface enables your computer to be connected to smart card compatible equipment like DSS Satellite Receivers and European Satellite Receivers. The connection allows for the development of Smart Card Based Systems by allowing the emulation of the Smart card. This interface also allows the passive monitoring of data between a Smart Card and the Smart card Equipment.


• Allows monitoring of Data flow between Equipment and Smart Card with appropriate software. (This is the only difference from the season interface)
• Enables your computer to be connected to smart card compatible equipment.
• Plugs into your equipments card slot and your computers serial port
• Runs various software that allow emulation of smart cards, ideal if you are designing your own application and do not want to keep programming cards.
• High quality solder flowed and solder resist lacquered PCB
• PCB is 0.7mm thick instead of conventional 1.6 mm to fit easily into your decoder
• Professionally assembled
• Also available in kit form or PCB only
• Onboard Data LED, flashes as the Data is sent and received
• On board serial connector

This interface differs from the Season 2 Interface in the fact that it can also allow passive monitoring of the data flowwing between a Smart card and the Smart card Equipment.

This Interface is available as a fully built and tested unit, A kit of all the parts to biuild your own or as a Printed Circuit Board (PCB)
The Kit and PCB require soldering knowledge and equipment.

This interface is not supplied with any software. You must write your own or obtain your own from other sources like the internet.
