Atmel 9028515 based wafer cards

The Funcards are Atmel Based plastic cards the same size as a standard ISO 7816 Smart Card. The chips are internal under the gold pad on the underside of the card. They contain an Atmel processor & an Eeprom. The Larger the Eeprom the larger capacity for storing information.

The ID Wafer is a plastic card the same size as a standard ISO 7816 Smart Card. The chips are internal under the gold pad on the underside of the card. They contain a PIC16F84A & a 24LC16 Eeprom. Ideal card for use with our Gold Mate PC Plus card copier/programmer. Comes with 3 month back to base warranty.

This card works exactly the same as the wafer cards except the chips are external. This is a benefit for people who want to use applications that use chips other than the standard wafer card configurations. This card allows you to make use of software which use 1 PIC and 1 Eeprom. Our ID Multi Programmer or our Gold Mate PC are perfect for programming these cards depending on the chip configuration you use.

The PICCARD 2 (also known as the silver card) is a plastic card the same size as a standard ISO 7816 Smart Card. The chips are internal under the gold pad on the underside of the card. They contain a PIC16F877 & a 24C64 Eeprom. This card has a much larger capacity than the Gold Cards. This gives developers more room for their code.
